The MultiTest-d motorised force tester in combination with either the cost-effective Basic Force Gauge or multi-function Advanced Force Gauge and Emperor Lite data acquisition software, provides an affordable entry level, motorised test system. Simple to operate, the MultiTest-d provides a reliable, rugged stand, ideal for performing straightforward tension and compression tests.  The MultiTest-d has been superceded by the MultiTest-dV.

The MultiTest-xt force tester is, an easy to use tensile and compression testing system, ideally suited to making routine quality control measurements in production areas. Controlled by a built-in touch-screen console, only minimal training is necessary to begin testing and results are easy to interpret with a colour coded "Pass" or "Fail" indication.

This video is an overview of Mecmesin's tensile testers: MultiTest-i and MultiTest-xt. The top-of-the range MultiTest-i PC-controlled force measurement systems are an ideal solution for tensile testing in QC and R&D laboratories, while the MultiTest-xt tensile testers controlled by a built-in touch-screen console, requiring only minimal operator training are ideally suited to making routine quality control measurements in production areas.

A puncture resistance test on flexible packaging material to international test standard BS EN 14477:2004 is conducted using a MultiTest 2.5-xt touch-screen force tester and  puncture test fixture.  The force tester is driven by Emperor software, which  controls the speed of the test stand, collects  the data, and then calculates penetration force, elongation at break and the penetration energy.

A 'loop' tack test is carried out to test standard FINAT No. 9.  A sample is prepared and the "application tack" is measured using Mecmesin's MultiTest-xt console controlled test system.  The test system is driven by Emperor software, that measures the peak force to completely separate the loop from the glass plate.

The MultiTest-dV range comprises three outstanding value, superior entry-level force testers. Designed for precision-controlled compression and tension testing, the dV’s simple controls, backed by sophisticated electronics, make it the ideal choice for a wide range of routine testing.

A 135 degree peel test is carried out on a sample of medical packaging to ensure maximum seal with minimum peel.  A custom designed vacuum fixture attached to a MultiTest-i PC-controlled force tester holds the sample firmly so that repeatable results are achieved when the lid is peeled off at a constant speed of 500 mm/min.

A 180° peel test of pressure sensitive adhesives is carried out using a FPT-H1 horizontal friction peel tear tester and a 180° peel test fixture kit. This is suitable for testing to a range of peel testing standards including FINAT No 1 and 3, ASTM D3330, Afera 5001, BS EN 1939 and PSTC 101.

A 90° peel test of pressure sensitive adhesives is carried out using a FPT-H1 horizontal friction peel tear tester and a 90° peel test fixture kit. This is suitable for testing to a range of peel testing standards including FINAT 2, ASTM D3330 Method F, Afera 5001, BS EN 1939 Annex B and PSTC 1001 Method F.
